Works Well

This is a good waterer for the price. I like that it holds as much as it does and can be filled from the top without the need to move it.

This waterer is wonderful sturdy plastic. Easy to clean. Can be hung. Water comes out as the water level drops. highly recommended.

3 gal waterer

I just recently dusted off this item that I had in my barn to use for my latest brood. It works great, EXCEPT, the small cap used for filling the waterer is missing. This is probably why I stopped using it. I shaved down a wine cork and that works alright. But: why doesn't the manufacturer make the little cap the same size as a soda bottle cap? I'm writing this in the hopes that they see this and use this idea because I've had this problem with other types of waterers.

Nice Waterer

This is a great little waterer. Easy to clean, easy to carry, very stable, very sturdy, and the base and top snap securely and very easily back together. But be careful!! The top black lid must be screwed on firmly or your water will run out of the tray and onto the coop floor. After you remove the small black cap on the bottom opening make sure the water is glug, glug, glugging into the tray. If it is running into the tray evenly your cap is NOT on tight enough! I initially put a little vaseline on the gasket in the lid, and as long as I have screwed the lid on tightly I have had no more (ahem) problems. This is a really nice waterer.

Little Giant Poultry Waterer

One of them never worked straight out of the box, and on another one the caps cracked while unscrewing it. So now it does not create the vacumn needed. I have half a tube of epoxy on it, but it doesn't work right. It needs to have a vacumn release so that you can unscrew it to refill and clean. However, I just don't think a black plastic cap is tough enough for New Mexico's high UV sunshine. Eventually I will go back to metal waterers. It was a great idea, but the plastic caps aren't tough enough for everyday use.

This waterer is large enough to keep our chickens happy, but small enough for me to handle without a great deal or strain. Easy to clean too.
