My boy found a critter digging on our property. so he set up one of these here traps to get it. the next morning the trap was dragged down the hole, so my boy pulled it out. it was a skunk and it came out rearend first. good trap, but a bad technique. he learned his lesson though!

I found this item to do a very good job, with my beaver problem.

The quality of the product is excellent. Since I recently purchasing the product I have caught two beavers, one by the front foot, the other by the rear foot. The trap held them until the next morning. I purchased the traps because the beavers are causing damage to my property, the State and the game warden told me to take them out by trapping or shooting them. I'm a real novice at this, so my only suggestion is to include instructions on how to operate the trap, and safety suggestions. I may be back for some more traps.
