Fowl Stuff Nest Boxes
October 22, 2012
The perches work great. The hens took right to them. I did have to cut out the entrance to make it bigger. I have a large breed of hens Rhode Island Reds and Barred Rocks. But I just followed the insructions and cut them out with a razor knife, no problem. They are easy to clean and seem to be holding up well. Plus they are made in the USA. I have 12 of them set up on the Lowes Buckets silver in color. The silver makes them a little darker inside and thats what they like. Great product!!!!!!

These things are great. They are easy to pop off the bucket and clean and my girls really like the wide sitting area.

Fowl Stuff nest box covers

They are working great. They are made very well and will hold up to some abuse. I will be ordering more in the next few months. The bucket system makes them easy to clean and well worth the investment. I like that they are made in the USA!!!!!

Fowl Stuff Nest Box
May 2, 2012
I like the boxes and the idea but my chickens don't. They were already used to laying in wooden crates which I swapped out. Now they lay all over the floor and will not go into the buckets, even with the covers off and artifical eggs. I may have to put the crates back. Wish I had only bought 1 to try instead of 3.

Easy to clean, great instructions and easy install. Chickens hopefully will be ready to lay eggs soon. I'm happy to support any company who makes their products in the USA!!

Fowl Stuff nest covers/perches

Quality of the product appears good and is attractive to me; to date, not so much to my just-beginning-to-lay pullets. Despite repeated efforts to encourage them to use the fowl stuff nests, they continue to prefer the floor behind my feed containers. Maybe they don't like the color of the pails I used?
