These are great for keeping the chicks and chickens from roosting on the feeders and water founts. I use these exclusively now. I no longer buy the metal covers because these work so well. Just hang them by some rope about an inch over the item you are protecting, and you good to go. Water and food stays much cleaner.

I love these feeder covers. I use them to cover my feeders and waterers to keep the chickens from roosting on top of the feeders and waterers. The food and water stays much cleaner much longer. I now use them instead of the metal covers used for the metal feeders.

I am not using this product as the manufacturer intended. I needed to construct a 2 gallon paint pail with a conical bottom for use with a paint sprayer. The cone shaped base enables the sprayer to pick up more paint per session. Inverted and with just a little trimming, the feeder cover fits perfectly. The plastic used for this product is tough and flexible and should serve its intended use very well.
