Great, but don't buy pads!
April 20, 2016
These are wonderful. I love how sturdy these are. The hard plastic flip up is easy to clean and birds can abuse it. Unfortunately you cannot use the rollout nest pads with these as they make it too high for the egg to roll through. My birds still use them without the pads and eggs for our egg farm stay clean!

Needs a latch
May 26, 2014
I mounted a few of these in a chicken tractor and they've worked great for keeping the eggs cleaner and unbroken by the chickens, but now a predator has figured out there are eggs in there and since there's no way to latch the lid they easily pull them right out. Any suggestions on how to add a latch without cracking the plastic?

I purchased three and have loved them. They work well and are clean and easy to attach to the portable chicken tractor I built. Thank you.

Roll Out Tray with Flap
April 30, 2013
I ordered three of these for my nesting boxes after the chickens were constantly eating eggs. THEY WORK GREAT! The sides can be bent to adjust to slightly different width boxes. My only issue was how to attach them so they wouldn't tip out of the box when the bird is standing on the front cover getting in and out. I was a little concerned about the laying area being reduced, but that hasn't been a problem. LOVE IT!!

roll out tray with flap

I think they are very sturdy, my problem was that the chickens I have were so use to their nest boxes they refused to go in. we are going to make new nest boxes for our new chickens and include them, sooo time will tell
