This cracker does what it is claimed to do. The cracker is well made and sturdy. It's a two handed operation to keep the shell between the two cups while pulling the lever. There's some learning to adjust the lever on the pinion teeth for the proper pressure. Eye protection and way to keep the flying fragments contained are real good ideas.

Mounted this nut cracker on my work bench. Easy to use and does a good job on black walnuts and hickory nuts. Good bargain for the price.
